HI, I’M EMILY, A DIETICIAN AND FUNCTIONAL NUTRITIONIST

I’m passionate about helping people REDUCE their reliance on ultra-processed food, and enjoy foods that love them back.

I’ve experienced firsthand the huge benefits of a gluten and dairy-free diet, as well as the looming sense of overwhelm at the thought of being able to stick to this way of eating.

Back in 2018, I was a dietitian, working in a cardiac ICU with heart disease patients, when I went to an integrative doctor for help with some digestive problems I was experiencing.

The doctor suggested that I try gluten-free, and my first response was ‘that sounds so hard, what else can we try first’. But after trying those other things, and not getting the improvements I’d hoped for, I accepted that it would be interesting to experiment with a gluten-free diet for 30 days and see what happened.

WITHIN TWO WEEKS I STARTED TO FEEL THE BENEFITS:

✓  Better Digestion

✓  Better Sleep & More Energy

✓ No Longer Craving Snacks

✓  Performing Better Athletically

And, unexpectedly the chronic knee pain I had lived with for more than 10 years (after an injury), went away (now I understand the link between gluten and inflammation, this makes a lot of sense).

But it was the transformation I saw in others that motivated me to create my membership, Holistically Gluten-Free Club.

I moved into integrative and functional medicine, an area of healthcare that views food as medicine, helping people who were living with debilitation autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, and ongoing digestive issues.

I learned about so many different conditions that are related to gluten.

I was seeing patients with autoimmune conditions, joint pain, digestive health issues, often a combination of those things, and trialing them on an elimination diet.

I cannot think of one person that I saw over my almost four years working in functional medicine who did not feel better when following a gluten-free diet.

Once they realized they wanted to eat this way long-term, there was very little support available.

  • What were they going to do when they got bored of the gluten-free recipes they knew how to cook?

  • How do they get into the habit of planning ahead so they aren’t reliant on expensive, ultra-processed grab ‘n’ go gluten free options?

  • How could they make eating gluten-free work with their busy lives?

This is why I created the membership - a place where people can find:

⟫ Meal plans for the week ahead so they don’t have to wonder what to eat each day and can save time and energy by efficiently shopping for ingredients and meal-prepping elements in advance.

⟫ The opportunity to get your questions answered by me (a qualified, experienced dietician and Certified Integrative and Functional Nutrition Practitioner).

⟫ A supportive community for people to share their experiences, ask questions, and give and receive encouragement.

⟫ A library of over 500 flavorsome, nutritious gluten and dairy-free recipes.
